Welcome to my message wall! Feel free to ask me any questions, but since I’m not an admin, I may not be able to answer all of them, but I will try! I’d love to chat with you about anything, it doesn’t really matter!
Hi. As you may or may not know, I’m considering leaving the wiki (I’ll be on other wikis though) because of a comment that asked me where i live, which is making me super uncomfortable and making me feel like I’m being stalked. I don’t have links rn, but I did take a picture (smartest decision of my life)
I hope you have an excellent time here, even without me. (If I leave that is)
Signing off for (if I leave) one of the last times on this wiki,
I replied to you on the other thread. I deeply respect your choice, whether you decide to leave or not, though I would request that you make sure that there is at least one way to keep a strong connection between us. I can't lose my BFF, :).
Omg I just neeed to tell you how much I agree with ALL of your LGBTQ+ opinions. I was on the Sophiana page, and even though I am normally a Sophitz shipper, I am completely open and supportive of Sophiana. I loved your rant and you are just so right. I won't share too much about my personal life, but there are LOTS of gay and trans/gender fluid people in my family and friends. I've been around it my whole life and it is totally normal for me. It sends me over the edge when people say that "being gay is unnatural" or that they "don't get it" or they don't understand why trans people are trans.
so... that was longer than I was intending, but I just love the way you think :)
I'll do my best. I've just joined recently. One of my online friends I met from this fandom joined the same day as me, and she's on the board admin. You proabably know her, she goes by Z. She's really nice too. I love finding friends on Fandom. :)
Hey Z! I hope you feel better! If there is anything I can do, than let me know and I’ll do my best. The minority kotlc club thing sounds cool, but maybe it could be called something more like the “elf everyone” or the “lost city’s inclusive council” just to make sure it doesn’t at all feel demeaning. It’s a GREAT idea 💡 😜😜😜

Yeah, because I’m an ally to LGBTQ community. Also, Charlotte, I saw in a comment that you said that you think you’re a lesbian, is that true? Because I will support you and love you no matter what, because I’m your friend, and that’s what friends do.
also could we just copy paste this onto our profiles and message each other when a new recruit joins?

That's fine! Have you read my stuff on ff.net? I really don't have anything new... but I'm going to post a new story soon that is AMAZING because I wrote it with some other AMAZING writers. It won't be on my account, but I can send you the link when it's up! Have you written anything?
I've read some of your stuff on ff.net - I loved the Flashback one. Can't wait to read the new story, it sounds AMAZING. I've been writing snippets of a fanfic about Oralie and Kenric, and then as for non-Keeper stuff, in November our english class had to write a novel from start to finish in 30 days (I write like I'm running out of time, literally), I wrote one about people living in the sea who get their magic from the stars and it was fun. Currently I'm writing a mystery-fantasy-romance story about 2 girls with fire powers who were meant to destroy each other but bonded over it, they eventually fall in love. If I ever finish it, I'll send it to you.
Magic, the people in the sea with star-powers sounds sort of like a NightWing/SeaWing hybrid, if you read Wings of Fire. Sorry, I kinda randomly look at peoples walls to see of I can find the answers to questions I have as to not bug people. Charlotte, tell me if you want me to stop.
Just editing the long no-hate thing and adding the new version to my page, what do you think of it? Some of the rhymes are stretching it and I couldn't find a rhyme for different, so other than that. Sorry, I value the opinions of others more than I should.
Oh, also, Charlotte? I was looking at your profile and noticed the Chronokinetic. What is that? Like, more details. Can they take people? OOH EVIL IDEA! What if they take people and leave them in the past or future or something?
Ah, yes. It's an invented ability of mine! Chronakinetics can freeze time, and travel through time, but only a limited amount. Like, they can go back a few hours, but that’s their limit and/or if their past/future self sees themselves, they die.
Cool! I actually am making a fanfiction with a friend irl and we had a idea for that! We had Fitz and Sophie (Of course. We're trying to make it like Shannon would) survive a massive attack where everyone else died. They get to go back and prevent it. Then again we also triggered like 5 other abilities in her friends, Shannon probably wouldn't do that. We turned Biana into a Vanisher/Phaser >:), Keefe into a Personifier/Empath (can turn into other elves), Dex into a Technopath/Shifter (can turn into animals), and Fitz into a Telepath/Chronographer (same as Chronakinetic)
We also made 2 other abilities, unsure who to give them to, I think we went overboard. Botanycrier = can control plant growth, Polymal = Can talk to species other than elves, trolls, ogres, etc. Pretty much the animals. Simple way to trigger when past ability opening thing: Enhance Forkle. If a Talentless is enhanced they will get a broken ability, such as a flickering Phaser who is unable to control it, or a Telepath who can't transmit but can read minds. OOH! POLYGLOT WHO CAN'T CONTROL LANGUAGE!
Idk what my ships are. I always end up feeling bad for some reason. Magic, you know the Quinterwatcher ship? (whatever the name is) I feel super bad for Winter but if Moon chose Winter I'd feel bad for Qibli.
Sophie stared at the screen. This couldn’t be right. Some kind of mistake.
Her knees knocked, and she collapsed to the ground in shock.
“Sophie...” Juji and Brisa said, as if they didn’t know where to start.
“Umm… this is---” Brisa said, and Sophie could feel her eyes starting to burn. Unmatchable. She really had been right all along. No way the world would suddenly go easy on her now. Not only did she not belong with the Vackers, she didn’t belong with anybody.
“Does this mean I’ll always be a bad match?” Sophie interrupted, her voice quivering and on the verge of tears.
“I’m afraid that may be right, Sophie,” Juji said, and Sophie fled the room crying.
She burst out of the office running toward Grady and Edaline remembering the way Ceri had guided her. By now tears were streaming down her cheeks, like endless waterfalls tumbling down her face. Sophie collapsed next to them, and buried her face in their arms.
“What happened Sophie?” Edaline asked, concern and confusion in her voice.
Sophie didn’t answer, and Edaline pulled her closer.
“What’s wrong?” Grady asked, with as much perplexion in his voice.
Then, Juji and Brisa strode out of the room.
“I’m sorry to tell you this Lord and Lady Ruewen, but your daughter Sophie seems to be unmatchable.”
“Unmatchable?” Grady asked. “What do you mean?”
“It is a rare case in which one or more of the components used in the matchmaking process doesn’t compute into our program and therefore we are not able to make a match list for them. In Sophie’s case I’m assuming her altered genetics must have something to do with this, and perhaps even her abundance of talents,” Brisa explained.
“What?” Grady and Edaline exclaimed in unison.
“So you mean Sophie can’t have a match list, and thus will always be bad match?” Grady asked in disbelief.
“I’m afraid so, assuming she chooses to get married,” Juji said.
“Oh, Sophie,” Edaline said, stroking Sophie’s back, but Sophie didn’t feel any comfort.
How could she? She made herself believe in Fitz. She finally accepted the idea of matchmaking, and now, it was at it’s worst.
If she did chose to get married everyone and anyone would laugh at her like they did to Dex’s family. Sophie couldn’t even bring herself to think what would happen between her and Fitz. How would he react? Confessing her crush really had been the easiest part of this. Now how was she supposed to explain to him about the match? Would this destroy them as Cognates?
Thoughts swirled around in Sophie’s head, giving her a headache and making her feel queasy. She clutched her stomach, her knees knocking, and to her greatest of fears, she made a daunting realization. She did know how Fitz would react.
It was later that afternoon and Sophie just sat in her vast bedroom on her bed, too tired and miserable to do anything else. After they arrived home from the matchmaking office, Grady and Edaline had left her alone giving her some space. Sophie hadn’t done anything productive since then. She mostly just lay around in her bed shifting positions once in a while. Her mind drifted from thought to thought, but she always came to one place: what was she going to tell Fitz? She knew she’d have to face him in soon in one way or the other, and she didn’t even want to think about it, but she couldn’t help herself.
Then, a knock came from the door, and Sophie couldn’t bring herself to speak.
“Sophie, you have a visitor downstairs if you’re up to it,” Edaline’s voice rung out from the other side of the door.
“Okay, let me just erm… get ready,” Sophie croaked and rushed over to the bathroom to compose herself. She really needed to get her act together.
Sophie looked at her expression in the bathroom mirror. Her eyes were red and puffy, with dark circles framed around them. Her face was pale and her lips were pressed together.
In other words, Sophie looked miserable.
Attempting to wipe the weariness off her face, Sophie doused it with water from the sink several times. This strategy proved unsuccessful, however, and she was left exactly the same but drenched, and with her hair sticking to her face. Deciding consulting Vertina was a bad idea, Sophie pulled her hair into a ponytail and changed out of her ridiculous frilly teal gown. Instead, she put on a plain black tunic, perfectly matching her mood.
Finally, giving up on looking nice, Sophie stepped out of the bathroom and trudged down the stairs. And if this day could get any worse, the person she found sitting on the couch waiting for her… was Fitz.
“Hi Sophie!” Fitz said, with his usual smile that slowly faded when he got a good look at Sophie. “Wait, what happened?”
“What do you mean?” Sophie asked, dreading the conversation Fitz’s question would lead up to.
“Umm… well you don’t look your best, Sophie.”
“Oh, well nothing happened,” Sophie said.
“Are you sure?” Fitz asked.
“Yes, I’m sure,” Sophie answered, but the quiver in her voice gave her away.
“Okay, tell me what’s wrong.”
“No, nothing, honestly.”
“C’mon Sophie. I thought we were past this whole trust thing.”
“We are. Everything’s fine, really.”
“Then why are you crying?” Fitz asked, wiping a tear Sophie didn’t realize was rolling down her cheek.
“I’m not,” Sophie said, blinking, trying to stop the tears from welling up in her eyes. But once they came, they wouldn’t stop.
“Sophie, seriously. Something’s really wrong.” Fitz said, and offered her his shoulder to cry on. “I’m not going to force you, but you need to tell me. I promise I won’t do anything to hurt you. You know that right?”
“I know, but I just--- I can’t tell you.”
“Why?” Fitz asked, now looking hurt.
“How about this. Would it be easier if you just show me?”
“Maybe? I honestly can’t, don’t want to---” Sophie started, but couldn’t finish her sentence.
“Okay, I’m going in,” Fitz declared.
“But---,” and before Sophie could stop him, Fitz’s accented voice filled her head.
“You went to the matchmaking office!?”
Sophie didn’t answer.
How could she?
She wanted to block every single memory that flooded her brain from Fitz, but she knew she had to let them loose. Fitz deserved the truth though Sophie wanted every bit for to conceal it from him.
Fitz remained silent even after the train of thoughts ended. His face grim, he looked up at Sophie.
I… see… he transmitted, drawing out the words slowly, and Sophie still unable to say anything, a long period of silence followed.
Sophie couldn’t stand it. She wished he would just say it already. She’d already done her part, now it was his turn. The part that would hurt the most. It wasn’t like Sophie didn’t know what he was going to say. But that was the worst part.
Sophie? You know I can hear your thoughts, right? Fitz asked, and Sophie quickly calmed her mind, flustered.
Did you just hear everything? Sophie asked nervously.
Yeah, sorry. Fitz said, running a hand through his hair. I don’t care.
Oh, um sorry. I mean I don’t care about the Vacker legacy. Fitz said, his cheeks flushed a bright pink. All I care about is you.
“GOD are you guys gonna be like this from now on?” Keefe’s voice boomed out all of a sudden. “Sorry for walking in on your little, ahem, moment, but it was kinda getting a little too far with all that staring into each other’s eyes and with Sophie crying and all… well y’know.”
skip a bunch of dialogue*
“Um, sorry to keep all hidden, but I think it’s time to reveal myself,” Biana appeared materializing next to them. “First of all, yes, I heard everything and yes, I’ve been here ever since Fitz got here. I couldn’t help following him now that you guys are actually a thing. And honestly, Fitz, I agree with Keefe. You are taking this too far. I know you loooove Sophie and all, but save it for when you’re alone, ‘kay?”
“We were alone if you guys weren’t spying on us!”
Ok, cya Magic, and as for the WoF ships, Cleril, Ripnami, Glorybringer, SUNNYFLIGHT! (I hate Fatespeaker), both Moonbli, Winterwatcher, and Quinter, Turtlejou, and Darksight. Also Foetic and Thoughtout. (idk the ship names for the last ones)
.*skips a whooole lot and moves on to the next day at Foxfire because honestly this matchmaking drama is kinda annoying*
Sophie wished she could take the day off of school, but of course, Grady and Edaline didn’t let her. When she got ready for school, she had on the same face as the day before and this time she didn’t even bother to try to fix it. When she got to Foxfire however, it wasn’t as bad as she’d thought. No one seemed to be paying any attention to her and Sophie was able to navigate through the halls without saying a single word...until she ran into Dex in front of her locker.
.*And so the matchmaking drama continues (sigh)* *groans and rolls eyes*
When Sophie reached her usual table in the cafeteria, she immediately felt like the worst friend. Linh looked worse if not equally as bad as right after Sophie had come back from the matchmaking office the previous day.
Starflight's love for scrolls as well as his reluctance to fight, Moon's shyness, their introverted tendencies, Clay's loyalty, Tsunami's bravery (rarely) and Glory's wit (also rarely). Winter's hidden interior, Qibli's rapid processing, Peril's wish to change how she is, Turtle's secrets, Sunny and Kinkajou's optimism, Clearsight's paranoia yet loyal, Indigo's protectiveness, Fathom's tendancy to be tentative, etc
Me too. I like having friends nearby but I prefer to draw or read. If I don't have people around I get sad and more paranoid than normal, if there's a lot of people I get massively paranoid and introverted. If I don't know people I don't talk to them.
Same for all of that. If I don't know a person, I won't really talk to someone unless I see something about them that catches my eye - they're drawing something really good, reading a book that I like, etc.
