The elvin world is ruled by a council of 12, the Councillors. This Council is in charge of creating laws and determining the punishments for breaking said laws. Tribunals are held to find whether an elf accused of a crime is guilty or not. The council works in a large domed building with green stone walls in Eternalia. All of the councillors have goblin bodyguards and wear jewel-encrusted circlets and silver capes with clasps that look like gold keys, they make 'human royalty look like amateurs'. Each of the Councillors swear to protect a cache with their life. Normal elves bow and curtsy whenever they approach a Councillor. Councillors are not allowed to be married because they need to put the good of the world before family.

The 12 CouncillorsEdit

Alina: Previous principal of Foxfire, elected to the Council in the book 3, Everblaze, to replace the seat of

Kenric and Oralie

Councillor Kenric. Alina is a Beguiler.

Bronte: An Inflictor. In charge of mentoring Sophie in his ability. He is almost always in a bad mood and seems to have an extreme dislike of Sophie. After the majority of the Council turns against Sophie, he changes sides and becomes one of the few that support Sophie.

Clarette: Clarette has long black hair to her waist and bronze skin. She is a very powerful Polyglot, possibly the most powerful one in the elvin world. She can use her talent to command animals and can mimic languages and accents.

Darek: As of Lodestar, the most powerful in telekinesis out of all the Councilors

Emery: Emery has shoulder length black hair with sapphire blue eyes. He is a Telepath and mediates the councillor's communications telepathically during a tribunal.

Liora: Liora has bronze coloured skin and is a Conjurer, as mentioned in Neverseen.

Noland: Noland has black hair that he wears in a ponytail. He is a Vociferator; an elf that can scream very loudly.

Oralie: Oralie has blond hair and looks like a fairy princess. She is an Empath, and often sides with Sophie. She is thought to have liked Kenric and was devastated after his death in Everblaze. She was one of the councillors who couldn't bear to watch Sophie wear the ability restricting circlet. In the fourth book, Neverseen, Oralie gives Sophie Kenric's cache. She then continues to help Sophie with various different things.

Ramira: Conjurer and Mesmer. Also mentioned in Neverseen.

Terik: Terik has wavy brown hair and cobalt blue eyes. He is a Descryer, a special ability that allows him to sense potential. He finds it a burden to be the only Descryer because parents always want to know their children's potential and the children rarely live up to it. Terik helped Sophie in Exile to find her old journal and told her that he would be someone to trust as Sophie trusts Alden. In Everblaze, he was also one of the councillors who couldn't bear to look at Sophie wear the ability restricting circlet.

Velia: According to Oralie, Velia is good with maps.

Zarina: Zarina's special ability involves using electricity, possibly called a Charger or Fulgurkinesis/Astrakinesis. She can control electronics and power.
